The Focus of Our Efforts
IWD Documentary Screening

To commemorate IWD that year, SWC held a Documentary Screening and Sharing with the founders of Style Atelier and held a booth. The documentary showed the lives of females around the world and how they struggle with the rights and beliefs about their gender. The Founders of Style Atelier shared about their journeys from teachers to entrepreneurs, the struggles of being business owners and mothers then answered a Q&A.
IWD Booth
The IWD booth consisted of a board where members of the SMU community could pen down their wishes for women. There was a calligrapher on site to design name tents and proceeds went to BABES Singapore. The Singapore Angelican Church services sold products for a good cause. Finally, there was a Polaroid Photo Booth for students to snap shots with their friends.
Clothing Donation Drive
SWC organised a school wide donation drive and clothing items collected were given to New2U which supports The Star Shelter for domestic abuse survivors.
